Old Dominion caps off final 2019 tour dates at Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls
The halls were decorated and the The Avalon Theatre, inside Fallsview Casino, in Niagara Falls, Canada was packed as Old Dominion hit the stage December 12 and 13. With numerous sold-out shows, Old Dominions ‘Make It Sweet’ Tour was no different north of the border. Hamilton Rock and Country Magazine was fortunate to attend their first “Songwriter’s Circle” performance.
Opening with Dierks Bentley’s hit ‘Say You Do’ and hit ‘No Such Thing as a Broken Heart”, I had a sense that the night’s performance may be a little different than an arena style concert.
“This is a first one of these that we’ve really done. Usually we come out banging and bring a big party. There’s a lot to this band and our story. We touch on it a little bit sometimes. There’s a lot of song writing background that we have. A lot of songs at this point that we don’t even play. So, we have no setlist tonight. Maybe you have a little bit of say on how this night goes. So, if there’s a song you want to hear, feel free to shout it out.”, says Matt Ramsey, lead singer of Old Dominion.
The group met as songwriter’ 16-17 years ago without planning on being a band together. The band jokingly talks about the days of whose songs made it on artist’s albums and who didn’t. The band members rotated lead position showcasing some of the songs that they independently wrote for other artists, picnic table song writing sessions as a group, and played many of their chart-topping hits.
There are no other words to describe Old Dominion than fun and team players. The essence of their comradery, the interactions with the crowd, and their love and devotion of song writing, first and foremost, only made fans love them more.

Old Dominion Canadian Tour Dates
While the group has returned to their homes to enjoy the holiday season, Old Dominion continues their ‘Make It Sweet’ tour on January 5th, 2020 in Honolulu Hawaii. They will be returning to Canada on the following dates.
