BY DAVE STINSON / CONCERT REVIEW / MARCH 09 ,2015
Young fellow Scott Helman fantastic voice 3 piece band very good sound and crisp clean music .
This young gentleman has a very good future ahead of him looking forward to seeing more of him in the future
What can I say about Colin James that hasn’t been said he hasn’t lost his touch the 6 x juno award winner played to a full house the sound was awesome and the
Sanderson centre was a great venue crowd was into the songs and laughing as well ,
The steady stream of guitar changes in each song was flawless and everytime he played each guitar it was just as good as the last. Colin played new and the older crowd favourites as well. Each one sounding as good as if he had just recorded them .During one song Colin came into the crowd playing his guitar the crowd cheering along .
My favourite was the steel guitar the hauntingly smooth sound that comes out it when he plays is fantastic Colin mentioned he bought the steel guitar in 1991 while Nashville making his second album he’s now up to 16 albums with the new one called HEARTS ON FIRE. Dwight and I had to opportunity to go backstage and meet Colin and I must say he is very personable gentleman and spoke with Dwight and I as if he knew us .Colin is the ultimate Canadian musician approachable and friendly and I would recommend if you have time go and see him fantasic show and great atmosphere A MUST SEE SHOW.
