By Darlene Altmann / Concert /Review on Alice Cooper Aug 22,2015 @ Air Canada Centre

I was very excited to see the Motley Crue All Bad Things Tour with opening act The Cringe and the infamous, very macabre, Alice Cooper! I had no idea what a treat I was in for. Being 42, I must say I didn’t think I knew a lot of his songs, but to my surprise I remembered a few from my old rocker days. Seeing Alice sing live is incredible. He belted out his famous songs such as “Poison”,” No More Mister Nice Guy”,” Feed my Frankenstein”, which seemed to be an absolute fan favourite, and his encore of “Schools Out”, which carried over to Pink Floyds” Another Brick in The Wall” for a few chords, then back to” Schools Out.” He stole the show and was a shame he wasn’t the headliner!

At 67, you’d think that he would slow down, but not Alice, he’s got the moves and energy of a 30 year old. I can only imagine what it was like to see him perform in his prime! I don’t want to give away all his bag of tricks, but his theatrical horror show was entertaining, shocking, and left the audience craving for more! He intimated the audience with his black widow eyes and brought a snake on the stage, transformed himself into a monster, and had his head decapitated, all within 50 minutes of his show! What more can anyone ask for in a rock concert? His vocals were phenomenal and even sounded great singing in a restrictive straight jacket. Alice just made two more fans Saturday night and I can’t wait to see him when he comes back to the Toronto area, and hopefully as the headliner!
