Canada day went off with a bang at London, Ontario’s western fair district as day one of trackside music festival began. The crowd was already in full force as the gates opened to all ages showing off their true patriot love for country music. The day started off with Eric Etheridge on the main stage as well as Homegrown talents such as Kelsi Mayne, Brad James and Julia Haggerty performing on the side-track stage.
Spectacular next acts to follow were Saskatchewan’s Jess Moskaluke and fox island rivers Jason Benoit who set aside time to sign autographs before putting on amazing performances. Next up was brett kissel who walked out on stage with a Canadian flag strapped to his guitar while performing his hit Canadian kid and even giving a brand new guitar to a young fan. As the evening started to cool down Mississippi’s own randy Houser brought the heat as he asked fans to help him sing like a cowboy and the Maren Morris hit church as it was his first time performing it and the crown responded amazingly.

The night ended with the crowd all singing together to Chris Young’s I’m coming over and aww-naw at the tops of their lungs while he put on his best performance and a serenaded us with a cover of ZZ Top’s Sharp Dressed Man which fans went crazy for.

Day 2 of Trackside started off hot with London’s own Them Dang Rattlers followed by Steven Lee Olsen whose mother was in the crowd dancing with their families dog. Chris Lane was up next and had all the ladies screaming and he sang Mario’s let me love you and a combo of Backstreet boys and Nsync medleys before closing out with his chart-topping hit Fix. Followed by Kane brown who said “he loves Canada and cannot wait to come back” and Cole Swindell whose performance of you should be here nearly brought me to tears.

The final act of the night was by far the one fans had been waiting all day for, Florida Georgia Line hit the cross-shaped stage and had everyone dancing to their hits this is how we roll, Anything Goes and their newest hit HOLY left fans wanting more. The overall experience was absolutely amazing and I cannot wait to see what 2017 brings.
